BRIGHT NEW THINGS - STAY WILD X SELFRIDGES
Introducing Bright New Things, a sustainable push from none other than global brand and platform Selfridges & Co. Each season Selfridges curate an edit of new and upcoming brands that combine sustainable production methods with style and performance, and guess what, Stay Wild Swim has been chosen as their only swimwear brand of the Bright New Things 2019 family.
“We are very pleased to welcome Stay Wild to the Bright New Things cohort for SS19. They exemplify the spirit of the initiative, combining style and sustainable innovation.” - Rachel Hammond, Ethical Trade Manager, Selfridges
We couldn’t be more proud or happy that our current and second collection will be stocked in Selfridges as we’ve worked hard to get to this point, but we’re even more thrilled that the big players in the fashion industry are finally turning their heads to sustainability. Which also gives us a platform to share our ethos and brand to a wide global audience. The Bright New Things initiative promotes buying better and more consciously. It proves that change is possible and that we, as the consumers, have the power to impact this change.
The collection will launch on Selfridges.com online and in store this Spring 2019 and we hope you are as excited as we are. The inspiration for this collection comes from our beautiful mother earth, and as such we’ve called it ‘The Terra Collection’, which is Latin for earth - thanks to you guys for helping us name the collection! We’ve used earth tones and colours, which represent the sunset, the shore and the ocean, and each one of these new pieces will tell this story. As ever, we are championing models of all sizes, working with regenerated ocean plastic, and making sure that every step in our manufacturing process is sustainable and earth-friendly.
For a sneak peak of the collection, check out the official Selfridges website.
As ever, we are grateful to every single one of you that’s supported Stay Wild Swim up until this point, we are grateful for the journey so far and excited to see what 2019 will bring.
Bring it on, Bright New Things!
